Open Hearts, Open Books, Open Doors
Throughout the month of February My Own Book is hosting a national Share the Love of Reading event. We are encouraging every teen and adult in the United States to buy a favorite children's book, read it to a child and give the child the book.
You may email us at kyleandbrady@myownbook.net and we will send you a bookplate to add to every book you give out.

If you know of a child or children in need of books, please fill out and submit the form below. Contact us
with your full name, address (this can be a school), and email. Please
include the child's first name and age so that we can send a personalized bookplate.
We will get books out to you to read to children.

My Own Book & Live to Read Partnership
Live to Read has partnered with My Own Book to be a source of books for this Share the Joy of Reading event. Usborne Books purchased through Live To Read will result in My Own Books receiving additional free books based on the total amount of sales from this promotion through February 25th. Live to Read will also provide a cash donation to My Own Book to further the advancement of their programs.
Remember these facts:
- Reading aloud to a child is the most effective way of getting them hooked on reading
- Many children have never had the pleasure of owning their own book
So, pick out a book you think a child will love and Read! Read! Read!!!
This is a great project for your service club, work, and school to get involved with! If you would like to donate books to be read aloud, we would be happy to find readers. If you would like to read, but don't have books, let us know and we will get books for you.
